Day #31 of 365 Project

To see the entire set of Project 365 for the month of January 2010, LOOK HERE www.KHphotos.zenfolio.com

Day 31. WOW I actually made it through a whole month, now only 11 more months(or 334 days) to keep posting a photo a day! I started this project as a self discipline commitment and I have on several days almost said "I'll post 2 tomorrow, I want to go to bed", but then I would remember that I promised myself I would stay on track!!!

So here is the end of the first months photos. For day 31 I chose a shot of an old REO that I have used as a prop for several seniors. I decided to take a shot of it without any person in the shot to take away from it's uniqueness.

Day #30 of 365 Project

I think this must be the latest craze here. I see shoes hanging on power lines almost every day only in different places. These got my attention for a shot because I think they are very artistically (sp) placed :) Probably an accident but thanks to whoever donated these well placed shoes to our towns decoration.

Amy - Senior 2010

I took Amy's senior pictures a few weeks ago. The weather was not terribly cold but the wind gave us a bit of a challenge. We used the courthouse and Les Schwab Park for our backdrops. We got lots of great shots, here are a few of my favorites.

Day #29 of 365 Project

I had some classes to attend today at two different grade schools, while in route I decided to take a shot of this cool looking clock & weather vane that is on the library roof. The sky decided to be kind to me today and give me some interesting clouds to work well with my subject.

Day #28 of 365 Project

This old barn is out on Elliot Lane here in Prineville. I love the mossy roof but I really don't think I put enough attention on it, I am still struggling with this landscape type shooting. Oh well, at least I'm getting some practice on subjects outside of my comfort zone.

Day #27 of 365 Project

We got a little bit of sunshine today and this cow was enjoying it! :) So day 27 is another cow picture, we have a lot of cows around here in case you wondered :)

Day #26 of 365 Project

I was talking with one of the girls I work with the other day about this sign and wanting to take a photograph of it. We both agreed that it is a great sign and we would like to take a good photo of it but the surroundings just usually won't allow it. For one thing it is right at the corner of a very busy downtown intersection and the area around it is pretty cluttered with power lines and other distractions, basically you just can't get a clear shot at it that will look decent. So this morning I happened to be out & about very early and there were very few other cars around. I was able to stand right in the middle of the intersection and grab a shot. I don't know how old this sign actually is as the whole place recently had a pretty amazing facelift and added a drive thru. I would bet this is not the original sign because the place has been here for well over 30 years that I know of, but the sign is really cool anyway. I will have to do some research now and see what I can find out about the place. I do know that they have GREAT food!

So Gina, this one, day # 26 is for you!

Day #25 of 365 Project

When I got home from work today these birds were there waiting for me to refill the bird feeder. I see them everyday but never even thought about photographing them. I'm glad I did because I really like this shot!

Day #24 of 365 Project

I got up early this Sunday morning because I had to be at a sports photo shoot at 7:30am, I walked out my front door, camera in hand at 7:15am and this was what I saw. I quickley snapped off the lens cap and took this shot. I got in my car and hurried out to the highway in hopes of getting a better shot than this, but in the 60 seconds it took me to drive to the end of my road, the colors were already so faded that it wasn't worth the try for a prettier shot. Amazing how fast a beautiful sight like this is gone! So this is the best I got, but I was pretty thankful for it.

Sierrah - Senior 2010

We took Sierrah's senior pictures two weeks ago in Bend. She is a beautiful girl and really fun to photograph and actually really fun to just be around. I had a great time with her, her mom, her boyfriend & her dog. We went to several different locations and got a LOT of really nice pictures!

She's jumping for joy because the photo shoot is over!!!! She was a trooper but by the time we got done she had had enough and was starving!
Thanks Sierrah, Stephanie, Joe & Ronix, I had a great time, you're all awesome!!!!

Joe & Ronix

Just so I don't forget to throw this one in somewhere......While waiting for their girl, Sierrah, to get her clothes changed for her pictures, Joe & Ronix waited patiently. This dog just amazed me, he was so relaxed with his "humans" and you could tell that he just LOVES them! I don't know of many dogs that actually like to be carried like a baby, but he sure did! Absolutely one of the most spectacular dogs I've ever met!

Sierrah & Ronix

Part 2 of Sierrah's senior photo session is her with her dog "Ronix". This dog is so crazy about his owner and it shows. He was happy just to be included and hang out with Sierrah. He was completely relaxed as long as he was with her and very easily "posed" :) He even got to go down the slide with her. He got a new sweater for the photo shoot and doesn't he look handsome in it! :)

Sierrah & Joe

Part 3 of Sierrah's senior photo shoot is with her boyfriend Joe. He satyed with us for the whole shoot and never even complained once, well not that I heard anyway. They were a lot of fun to photograph.
