Bringing the wood home

After the past several years of extremely high electric bills, we have decided that we wanted to get a wood burning stove to heat our home. This is my husband unloading our first load of firewood.

First birthday

My granddaughters first birthday. I can't believe how fast that first year went. She is my first grandchild and I love her so much. Very wonderful thing to become a grandma. I am so proud of her, she has brightened my life so much. Here she is with her friend.

Two other friends that attended her party.

The four girls. They will all be a year old within the next few months. Sweet babies!

They got some cookies!

Here they are with their mommies. These four beautiful ladies all went through their pregnancies together, and were there to share the joy of each others birthing.

She got loads of gifts. This cool little car can be driven by her or by others with a remote handle.

Taking a ride in the company of her cousins (oldest ones) and another friend.

Her first sampling of birthday cake, made by her other grandma. She was pretty impressed with it!

Yummy!

Evening Views

On my way home from shooting a wedding Saturday night I saw a herd of about 30 deer enjoying themselves in a local farmers field. The sun had set so low that I took a chance of passing up the great photo opportunity and figured I would return a bit earlier the next night. I got lucly, the deer were there again and this guy was very close to the road and posed for a few seconds.

When he saw that I was not going to get back in my car and drive away, he decided he was done being polite and took off in a rush.
Same night, the sunset was so pretty. Sad fact though, the sunsets are this way due to the many wild fires our area has in the summer months.

Ryan & Angie Wedding 7-12-2008

Ryan & Angie got married July 12 at D&D Ranch in Lone Pine, Oregon. Great couple, lots of fun.

Tried a new Photoshop action I learned, texturing.

Angie looking through the window at her waiting groom while dad waits to walk her down.

These girls were a blast!

Smith Rocks gave a nice backdrop.

Having fun! Wait till the B&G see this!

More fun!

Beautiful Ladies!

Birthday Dress

The tu-tu is a birthday gift, she really doesn't seem to care much about it, but we all thought she looked adorable.
Blowing kisses is one of her specialities.
Her classic ballerina pose. LOL

This is the new birthday dress. A friend of my daughter-in-law made this for her. Soooo Cute! She really does not like hats, so to actually get a picture of her in it before she pulled it off and threw it was a challenge.
Still needs a wall or chair for balance, but everyday she gets a little more brave.
