Middle School Fall Sports

Took all the middle school fall sports photos last week and I must say that for the first time in my career of doing these pictures, all went very smoothly and quickly. The coaches are not overly fond of picture day because it means a whole day of valueable practice lost and because normally it's quite a lengthy confusing ordeal. BUT this featured coach....Coach Fleming, had a great idea for making it run more smoothly. I won't go into detail here on what he did, but I will tell him one more time...THANK YOU! It made everything so much easier for me too!

Coach Fleming demonstrating to his whole team exactly how they will pose when their turn to be photographed comes. AND they actually all paid attention, well most of them did:)

YES! All went well, see how happy they look now that photo day is over!

8th grade volleyball player. I LOVE this picture. Usually sports photos are not all that personal, but she wanted her pup in a shot with her, I think this was a great idea. Thanks Lainey!

Once again thanks to Coach Fleming for making this seasons photo shoots go so much better, I used your ideas with every team and all went perfectly!

Stephanie & family

Did a family session for Stephanie last weekend while all the kids were in town. Had a great time, fun people to work with! These are a few of my favorite shots.

My Helpers

I got a new lens two days before I was scheduled to shoot a huge wedding. So of course I wanted and needed to use the lens and see that it worked properly before I took it to the wedding. These wonderful people did some fun posing for me so I could see how it worked. We had a great time, very fun people and I appreciate them very much for helping me with this test.

Brent - Senior session

Took Brent's senior photos on the first Saturday of this month. Had a great time! We tried some shots with his car, and I think they were a success, I hope he likes them. It was a pretty bright day and we had a bit of trouble with glare & reflections. I'm hoping we get a chance to take a few more with the car as he had some great ideas if we can just get the weather to cooperate. Brent was great to work with, very comfortable in front of the camera and he has a great smile to match his friendly personality. Here's a few of my favorites from the day.

While looking for a place to shoot with the car, we came across this old shed, we both liked it for a backdrop and I think we chose well, looks great!

A little Adobe action called "300"

The car. Looks great Brent!

We took a few in the park.

Then we went to the trains. We were lucky, lots of cars with great grafitti!

Open boxcar and a shadow, I wasn't real sure how this was going to look, but I really like it.

A little vintage coloring.

This is my favorite! I love the relaxed casual look.

Thanks Brett for sharing this time with me, you were fun to work with!

Dorothy & Co.

On Labor Day we took some family photos of Dorothy and her sisters along with their husbands and children. Great bunch of people and darling kids. I had a great time. These are a few of my favorites from the day.

This is Dorothy, she arranged for this family photo shoot. Both her sisters were here from out of state for the Labor Day holiday. As you can see, pretty soon she will have another family member to join the group. Thanks Dorothy, you all were so fun to work with. And good luck on the upcoming birth.
Dorothy and her son, soon to be a big brother.

Look at that smile!

This is Dorothy's nephew. He had a great time with the wagon.
