Negative Space

As a follow up to my last post....I have been asked to show this photo, which had the "star wall" texture in my last post, as it looked in the original. Here it is and this type of photo is referred to as "negetive space".

Rachale - Senior Session

I took Rachale's senior photos yesterday evening. Beautiful girl, very friendly and easy to work with. She went along with my background suggestions, no matter how silly they sounded. Thanks for trusting Rachale, I think you look great in all the settings!

This one was actually a white metal door and I added a tuxture background to it, one of my latest fun Photoshop lessons...how to apply "textures"

Same door, no texture.

Added this texture to that same white door. The design was from a flower pot at my son's home.
What a beautiful smile!

These next two were against a trailer with a cartoon painted on it.

She's even beautiful when she's "serious". She had a hard time NOT breaking into a smile!

Thanks Rachale, you were a pleasure to work with!

Margret & Co. Family Shoot

Family shoot with 5 small children, need I say more...LOL. They did great, and in a few shots they are actually all looking towards the camera. Wonderful people that I have known for years and I had a great time meeting all the little ones and getting to take their photos. Here are some of my favorites.

Margret & family

I think the toy tractor is older than him.

The whole group.

Grandpa & Grandma with the little ones.

Classic children group shot....notice how no one is looking the same direction. I love this picture anyway!

Kady - Senior Photos

I took Kady's senior pictures a few weeks ago out at her familys ranch. Beautiful girl, beautiful setting, I had a great time working with her. She was a natural, so at ease in front of the camera and so much fun! I couldn' believe that she was willing to sit down in the water! I loved doing this shoot, she has such a happy personality, it's contagious!

Kind of a cool processing, it's called 300, after the movie.
These two sweet old horses were so entertaining. They love this girl! They followed her around and rubbed on her every chance they got. They acted more like puppies than horses. It was great!

Kayla- Senior Portraits

We took Kayla's senior photos last weekend on what was said to be the hottest day of our summer. Temp was in the low 100's and it was pretty humid. Kayla was a great sport about it and kept on smiling. These are some of my favorites.

With her sister Kendra who graduated 2 years ago.

By dad's request, his 3 lovely ladies.

Necoles senior portrait session

We did Necoles senior photos at her familys ranch, beautiful place and endless photo props and backgrounds. She's a beautiful girl with many talents. She wanted her photos to be of the "real" her and include things and places that are dear to her. A few might seem a bit different from the "normal" senior shots that a lot of students get. This first one of her comes from her nickname in a weight training class shes in. They call her "The Hulk".

This shot was taken with a backdrop of a cabin her grandfather built. The wall you see is covered with deer and elk hides from his hunting days.
She's a true athlete. As you can see, she is involved in many sports.

Here she is just being beautiful.
Part of her time is spent driving this tractor for various jobs so she wanted this setting and outfit to be part of her senior memories.

She's even beautiful in stained clothes.

The tire is nearly as tall as her!

I just loved this one for some reason, it's one of my personal favorites from the shoot.

No ranch shoots are complete without a few with the barn.

Just being beautiful again. And she was so comfortable in front of the camera.

We had a hard time posing her with these flowers, but managed to get a few good ones.

And of course her beloved pup had to get in with her too. She(the dog)was camera shy and did NOT want to look towards me at all and of course the more we laughed about it, the more she looked away!

Inside yet another barn. This place was wonderful for a shoot and I couldn't have asked for a better subject.

One more, maybe a bit more traditional.
There were so many wonderful shots from this session that I could post many more. Necole has a great personality and sense of humor, great ideas on props and backgrounds, was willing to try anything we asked of her. It was a super fun day and I look forward to the winter session with her that we decided we have to do. Thanks Necole, Lori, Jackie, Rachael, & Steve for the fun day, you guys are great!
