Day #160 of 365 Project

I won't be seeing this eyesore for a few months! This is at the gate by our class/building and I must walk by it over a thousand times a year! The poor thing has been the target of many of our students when they need something to hit or kick! I'm happy it's finally summer, but we had a great school year!

CCHS Senior All-Night Party 2010

The front of one of the T-shirts from Friday nights CCHS Senior All-Night Party. I enjoyed photographing this event so much! I got nearly 300 images and looking back through them really made me smile! It was a great time!

Day #157 of 365 Project

Day #156 of 365 Project

Well I survived the CCHS graduate all night party! It was a blast!!! The National Guard had brought in an obstacle course, climbing wall, some jumping thing(don't know what its called), peddle powered go cart/bikes, a thing where two people try to knock each other off a platform with a huge barbell looking thing, IT WAS SO COOL!!!!!!!!! The parents that planned this event did an AWESOME job! The theme of the party was based on the show "Survivor" and all the students were placed into tribes. They all had different colored T-shirts, back packs and they made themselves a team flag. There was tons of great food and prizes. I was very very impressed! Randy McClellan of RM Images and I were there to take pictures of the kids....we got LOTS and really enjoyed ourselves. By the time I left there at 2:00am, I could hardly walk I was so tired and worn out! I ached so bad when I got home I could hardly sleep! I did wake up around 8:00am when some darn telemarketer called and then I had to stay up long enough to import my pictures from last night into the computer, I was anxious to see them and get working on them. I managed to import them all(300) but I had to go back to sleep. I finally woke up again around 3:30!!!! My husband and I went out for dinner and now I am ready to go back to bed again!!!

So within the next few days, I will start posting pictures from the all night party as I get them sorted and processed.

In the mean time, here's a dandelion from my yard. I have been so busy lately that the poor yard has been seriously neglected and these little devils are taking the opportunity to take over!!

Day #155 of 365 Project

Kind of a rough day today, lots of ups & downs! Today is graduation day for CCHS and we have prayed all week that the darn rain would give us a break. The rain stayed away but the wind showed up and made it a little less pleasant than we would have chosen, but I guess you can't have it all perfect and I much prefer the wind to the rain.

At work today we learned that our school district will end the school year 2 days earlier than planned which is a bummer but much better than the 10 days we lost last year.

I went and photographed the graduates at the high school prior to the ceremony and it was very enjoyable! Lots of students that have worked very hard to get to this point in their lives! I'm super proud of all of them, it's not been easy for them either with all the cuts the district has been forced to make.

So now I am getting ready to head out once again tonight to take more pictures at the graduation all night party. It sounds like it's going to be a wonderful party for them and I look forward to seeing them enjoy themselves! I'm not used to being up till 2:00am, but I am excited about it!
