Day #151 of 365 Project

Typical Memorial Day in Central Oregon.....rain, rain, rain! It never fails, always rain on the first camping weekend of the season! I have a nice sunny daisey here though! :) Oh yeah, it has a bug on it too and this time I actually saw the bug before I snapped the picture!

Jeri's Cakes

My friend Jeri, owner of Jeri's Cakes www.jeriscakes.blogspot.com made my day on Saturday when she brought me some of her famous ultimately delicious cupcakes. I am not kidding one bit when I say that her baked goods are the best I've ever had! She needs to open a store and make them available to everyone every day! :) She makes wedding cakes, birthday cakes, event cakes, etc. and every one of them is a delight! Her frosting is made with real butter and the cakes are so moist they just melt in your mouth. Her artistic skills are awesome too! I went to take a few pictures of a cake she made for a relatives 80th birthday party on Sunday and I honestly thought the flowers on the cake were real! All of the flowers featured on this cake are hand made by Jeri and they are edible!

These beatuiful flowers are NOT REAL FLOWERS!!!! Amazing!!!! and Yummy!!! :)

Day #150 of 365 Project

This was taken from a bed of poppies that was well ahead of yesterdays bud shot, they were blooming like crazy here! It amazes me how different the bloom times are for different areas of our town. Just like with the pink blossoming trees, some in town start blooming a few weeks before the ones out of town.

Day #149 of 365 Project

Poppy bud. I have always thought these buds were quite interesting but never bothered to photograph one. So while looking for something to photograph on Saturday, I spotted a field with quite a few poppies that are getting ready to show and this beauty won my attention.

Day #148 of 365 Project

This is a project I worked on for Donny. He is making a poster to display on one of the walls at CCHS. I took several different shots of this group but this one was his favorite. The only problem was that one of the boys was missing in this particular shot so I took him from another one of the images and cloned him into this one. I think it worked!!!

Day #147 of 365 Project

I love these flowers! I'm not sure what they are called, but they are my favorite. They are bulbs and they don't bloom for very long.

Day #146 of 365 Project

When I snapped this picture of the flower, I never noticed the little bug crawling on it until I looked at it on the computer. In fact I had several shots of different flowers and to my surprise there were bugs visable on most of them.

Day #145 of 365 Project

While I was taking some pictures of flowers in the church yard, this bird flew in and landed on the roof right beside me. I don't see many blue birds, and this one showed up right when I was ready to snap a picture.

Day #144 of 365 Project

Saw this fantastic cloud display on my way home from work, I had to find a place to park and capture it before the clouds move on.

Day #143 of 365 Project

Just a pretty view from my back porch.

Marley.....again :)

My husband, son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter & I took a drive last weekend and managed to get some pretty decent pictures of Marley. She has much better things to do than sit still and smile at the camera, so getting good pictures of her is quite a chore! She takes after her father with the whole photo shoot thing, as she would much rather make funny faces than just smile! Our intentions were to go to Walton Lake, but when it was closed we decided to take a detour route across Big Summit Prairie. The wild flowers are starting to bloom, but not quite yet in full beauty. So with the many images I took that day, here are a few to share. Sorry about the long post, but I have a daughter in St. Louis Missouri that can't wait to see some recent shots of her niece.

Day #142 of 365 Project

Another familiar sight around my place.... truck tire chains, wood and grass...LOTS of grass! It's not even summer yet and already we can hardly keep up with the mowing!

Trista & Kayden

I took some maternity/family pictures for Trista a couple weeks ago. We went out to Mill Creek and the weather was beautiful! Trista is due to have her baby any day and I think she said she's ready! Her son Kayden is such a handsome little guy and he was so well behaved and cooperative! We got lots of wonderful shots, here's a few of my favorites.

Day #141 of 365 Project

Here's Oscar, the other dog belonging to Rob & Tina. It just wouldn't be fair to not post him too! He was much more into having his picture taken than his buddy, Duke and he didn't have to stay tied up very long at all.

Day #140 of 365 Project

I figured since I just posted Tina's family pictures, I might as well make her dog, "Duke" my daily post. He's so cute!!! Very friendly too, but kind of camera shy!
